The knitted merino wool outer sits gently against the skin, while a soft fleece lining adds warmth and windproof panels at the ears block cold air during pram journeys, the school run and outdoor play.

Merino wool regulates temperature naturally, which is what allows the balaclava to keep a child comfortable across changing conditions rather than only in extreme cold. The fleece lining through the body adds a second insulating layer, and the windproof ear panels target the specific points where cold air tends to reach the head most directly during movement.

The one-piece construction reduces the number of separate accessories to keep track of, particularly useful for babies and toddlers who cannot yet manage their own layers. The balaclava fits under a coat hood without adding bulk around the neck, and the ribbed face opening stays in place during active movement.
